LOCALIZATION

• Kakslauttanen is located 250 km north from Arctic Circle, 40 km south from town of Ivalo and 10 km south
  the closest village Saariselkä (with supermarket, ATM, shops etc.). Address: Kiilopääntie 9, 99830
  Saariselkä, Finland.
• The closest airport is the Ivalo Airport which is 35km away, about 30 minute-drive from our resort.

GETTING HERE

• Flying - The most convenient option. The closest airport is Ivalo (IVL) and there are regular flights from
  Helsinki to Ivalo every day. The airlines currently flying to Ivalo are Finnair (www.finnair.com) and Norwegian
  (www.norwegian.com).
• By bus – You can reach us from Rovaniemi, both from the city center and the airport. The bus stop
  “Kakslauttanen” is 100 meters from our east village reception. Check out timetables for buses from
  Matkahuolto website (www.matkahuolto.fi/en) and use Kakslauttanen as destination.
• By car – If you are driving, just type our address in your navigator: Kiilopääntie 9, Saariselkä, Finland. Once
  you are there, you can’t miss it. We offer free parking places next to all the cabins and there is plenty space
  for cars also in front of our restaurant building.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
These services are not included in the room price. Please book the services in advance to ensure the availability.

• Daily cleaning – 15 €/day/per person
• Luggage handling – €12/person/way
• Transfer from/to Ivalo Airport – €49/adult/way. Children under 12 y. – 39 €/way. Please inform us about
  your flight schedule when booking. For private transfer options, please send inquiry to our booking office.
• Please specify child´s age, if travelling with children.
• Firewood service – 35 €. For safety reasons, our staff will light a fire in your fireplace, includes a box of
  firewood and firewood refill is 20€.
• Please note: Queen Suite and Luxury Kelo Glass Igloo includes a VIP package of: private Ivalo airport
  transfers, luggage handling, daily cleaning, daily fireplace service, welcome basket. Wedding chamber
  includes daily cleaning.
• For children under 2 years can be provided a Baby-cot at 60€/day. Fresh Linen will be provided upon
  request.

ALL CABINS

• All cabins are equipped with bathroom & shower (with hairdryer, towels, shampoo and body wash), sauna,
  fireplace, kitchenette (with fridge and other essential kitchen amenities). You can buy small snacks and
  beverages from the reception.
• The cabins can accommodate up to 2-6 guests, please mention the number of guests when booking.

GLASS IGLOOS

• When checking in, please leave your luggage to the reception luggage room, we recommend bringing only
  a small bag of essentials to the igloos.
• Small Glass Igloos have 2 single beds, each igloo has a small toilet and a wash basin inside. It is possible
  to add an extra bed. Max. capacity: 3 guests. All our Glass Igloos have single beds, unless requested to
  join them together.
• Large Glass Igloos have 4 single beds, including a shower, a toilet and a wash basin inside. It is possible
  to add an extra bed. Max. capacity: 5 guests.
• Showers and saunas located in a building within walking distance. Guests can enjoy the evening sauna
  from 17:00 to 22:00 while shower is operating 24 hours a day. There are towels, body wash, shampoo and
  hair dryer available.
• There are power sockets inside each igloo, please bring along any adaptor if needed.
• The temperature inside the Glass igloos is set at around 21℃.
• We ask our Glass Igloo guests kindly not to touch the glass, pour water or throw any objects to the glass
  roof.

KELO-GLASS IGLOOS

• All Kelo-Glass Igloos are equipped with bathroom & shower (with hairdryer, towels, shampoo and body
  wash), sauna, fireplace, kitchenette (with fridge and other essential kitchen amenities). You can buy small
  snacks and beverages from the reception.
• Kelo-Glass Igloos can accommodate up to 6 guests (1 double bed, 2 single bed in the Glass Igloo, 2 bunk
  beds).
• Daily cleaning is provided for our guests in Kelo-Glass Igloos

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Northern Lights are visible from last week of August to last week of April but they are weather dependent.
• The construction of the Snow Chapel and Snow Igloos are weather dependent.
• Smoking is prohibited in all accommodations. Penalty for smoking is the equivalent of one night’s room
  charge.
• With respective to our guest´s privacy we do not allow flying of Drones without the management’s
  approval.
• All our guest’s accommodations are equipped with northern lights alarms and 4G WI-FI.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

• We highly recommend our guests have a valid travel insurance policy to cover any cancellations (in
  accordance to terms and conditions), or any injuries that may require medical attention. The resort doesn’t
  have personal travel insurances for our guests, and therefore the abovementioned items can only be covered
  by a guest having an active travel insurance policy.
