Our winter exhibition, Echoes from the North/Kaikuja pohjoisesta will be opened on 01.10.2018, and will be available until 26.4.2019.
The exhibition showcase the artwork of selected members of the Lapland Artists’ Association: Maria Huhmarniemi, Eliina Hurtig, Marjo Hyttinen, Risto Immonen, Helena Junttila, Ilona Kivijärvi, Kazuko Kizawa, Tuomas Korkalo, Leila Lipiäinen, Pirjo Nykänen, Marjo Pernu, Raisa Raekallio & Misha del Val, Oili Tornberg ja Kari Tuisku.
In addition we are proud to inform that the exhibition Echoes from the North feature the art works of the Sami artist and photographer Marja Helander and the work of the Italian artist Simafra.
At the same time at Kakslauttanen Art Gallery will be possible to visit “Multiformes – The Artistic Handicrafts of Lapland”, a joint exhibition from artists Irene Kangasniemi and Oda-Liv Koivisto’s which has already been present in Rovaniemi in Arktikum and Inari in Siida.
Our brand new art gallery, situated in our West Village in the same building as our Glass Igloo Tower, was opened in an invitation-only gala on 16th of November 2017. A beautiful array of Finnish and Lappish artwork for everyone to enjoy!
Attendance to our gallery is free of charge. The gallery is located in Kakslauttanen West Village, on “Kultaojantie” road, about a kilometer from the main road. Drive along Kultaojantie until you see the Igloo Tower. There’s free parking at the front.
