Arctic Sea and Hurtigruten Cruise, Norway

We arrange tours to see Arctic Sea, a vast sea north of Scandinavia as some people call it. One of the included tours is Hurtigruten Cruise, which has been acclaimed as one of the most beautiful cruises in the world.

The cruise starts from Kirkenes and after we spend one day and one night on the boat, we arrive in Honnigsvåg. Attractions include wonderful views of the Arctic Ocean and the magnificent Midnight Sun and the culmination of the cruise is a breakfast in Nordkap.

River Lemmenjoki, Inari Village and Siida Museum

Lemmenjoki is Finland’s largest national park. It is also one of Europe’s most extensive tracts of roadless, uninhabited forested wilderness. The central part of the park is dominated by more than 70 km long River Lemmenjoki.

The most noteworthy sight, the Lemmenjoki valley, is a magnificent section of the river stretching for some 20 km between Njurgulahti and Kultasatama, and the gold washing areas along the northwestern tributaries of the Lemmenjoki river.

We first drive to Ivalo and then along the shores of Lake Inari to Lappish village Inari, from where we proceed to Lemmenjoki. From Njurgalahti we take an open river boat 20km upstream to Ravadas falls. There we have an open air picnic or a lunch in a wilderness hut. From there you can either hike to waterfalls or take a boat. We return to Njurgalahti by boat, from where we continue to Inari for a visit to Sami museum, partly an open air museum covering Lappish culture, history and traditions.

More information on Sami can be found on the website of Siida – Sami Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre
