Inari Resort

In addition to Hotel & Igloo Village Kakslauttanen we have our own fishing and nature resort on Lake Inari, a holy place for Sami people. The place is dubbed "Paratiisi" and is situated on Leviä Petäjä island. The island provide great opportunities for fishing, picking up berries and mushrooms and we provide fishing boats, canoes and rowing boats for free use.

You can choose between making an one-day visit to Paratiisi or staying there several nights in our log cabins. Bear in mind that the island is in the middle of lake and totally surrounded by wilderness, which means that you have to make some compromises on luxuries of a normal life. Toilets are traditional Finnish outdoor toilets and food is made either on a gas stove or on open fire. There is traditional and smoke saunas on the island, so you do not have to sacrifice hygiene while staying there. We truly believe that a lack of luxuries does not make your vacation less enjoyable. On contrary this is a perfect opportunity to experience wilderness first-hand – a rare treat in modern fast-paced environment.
